Cowboys sign three

The Dallas Cowboys have signed three players to their future list:

Jerome Carter, DB, Florida State
Junior Siavii, NT, Oregon
Matt Spanos, C, Southern California

Since the NFL is still in the 2008 season, the players are technically not on the roster, so they get the designation of being on the future list, or players to be on the 2009 roster.

Carter was released by the St. Louis Rams Aug. 29 and was out of football for the remainder of 2008. He worked out with Dallas on Nov. 11 but did not sign. Carter was originally a fourth-round draft pick (117th overall) by the Rams in 2005. He played in a total of 33 games with three starts from 2005-07 recording 63 tackles and two interceptions.

Siavii went to training camp with the Cowboys before his release Aug. 31. He spent the rest of the season out of football. Siavii was originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round (36th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft.

Spanos signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of college on May 19. He was released prior to the start of the season and remained out of football.
