There is another Dallas Cowboys player in trouble now. Linebacker Anthony Spencer was arrested early Sunday in Indianapolis. Police say he tried to pay a bar to stay open after hours, when they wouldn't he threw punches at the bouncers and argued with police when they tried to get him to leave. Now he's facing chargers of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. It's gonna be a long off season. 12 CommentsLeave a comment |

how bout them cowboys
Maybe if they'd take that aggression to the field we wouldn't have had so many problems with New York the last two seasons.
Another cowboy in trouble with the law? What a surprise!!Next thing you know JJ will be hiring murderers. As long as they can play!!
A news reporter was sitting in Central Park on his lunch break. There were two teenage boys throwing the football around. A huge Rotweiler gets loose from it's owner and pounces on one of the boys. The other one, in a fit of panic, picks up the biggest stick he could find and smashes it aginst the dog's head, killing it. The reporter runs over to the boys. "Wow! That was great! I can see the headline now: Giants Fan Saves Life of Best Friend!" "I am not a Giants fan", the boy replied. "Well, who are you a fan of, then?" asked the reporter. "I am a fan of America's Team, the Dallas Cowboys!". The next day, the headline read "Redneck Punk Brutally Slays Beloved Family Pet".
So what's the problem in this case. Long, long gone are the days of classy pro athletes. This is the era of pros who wear gold plated man hole covers around their necks, all sorts of tattoos, mess around on their wives and girl friends, do drugs, have long criminal records and the fans, even in this economy pay huge bucks to support their life style. None of the coaches care as long as they can "sort of" play the game and the owners don't mind as long as the fans pay. So what, it's funny really.
Ray Lewis is a fre agent next year.. sign him!!! He will get the locker room fixed and hold all players accountable.. JJ will probably get jealous, but it has to be done..
Put a goal post in the bar. That'll keep the Cowboys away!
A blind man can see why the Cowboys cannot win: “There is no TEAM in COWBOYS”……
LOL Todd!
I have to say I think Goodell is on the right track here, but he can't do it alone. He needs the support of owners/head coaches who won't tolerate this nonsense. Jerry Jones has made it clear that he will. And it just takes one or two to derail the whole thing.
As I was watching the playoff games, I asked myself if we're seeing better football than we did 20 years ago. The answer is no - we have average QB's, we have lame tackling, we have receivers dropping balls all over the place, we have mindless and often violent infractions....
Give me the guys making half a mill who are out there because they want to be, not the ones with the bling and the 'tude.
born and raised a raider fan. but Al Davis was always a problem. when he took the raiders to LA in '81. he lost some of his fan base. of course, they are back in Oakland cause he whined too much. my point here is that to me, i see JJ and AD as two of a kind. AD has hired "thugs" for many years... and now JJ is doing the same. when athletes tarnish their abilities and reputation, it doesn't make it look good for the supporting fans. i am very fond of the Cowboys and the raiders, but when AD did the LA thing, i became a lifelong 49'er fan. i wish JJ would think more about "America's Team" and the FANS than about whinning, winning, stadiums, and trying to keep with himself - the Jones's.
Just another typical case of someone with too much money, trying to be the man or flash their money around like their above you. You might have big money but you don’t own sh*t…….
Long ago it was sportsmanship, and setting examples for young kids. It use to not be all about the money. It use to be a priviledge and if you didn't act right and do right, you were gone.
That's partly what's wrong with the Cowboys, they act like CAGIRLS...whine around wanting more money, and yet the little man can't afford to even go take their families to a game.
Of course it starts with the owner, look at his examples. More, More, More.
