Although the last local professional sports championship win was a decade ago when the Dallas Stars won the Stanley Cup, it has been about two decades since all of our area teams missed the post-season in the same season. I know it's been rough with the Cowboys not winning a playoff game since 1996, but at least all of the teams from the four major sports (well, I'm counting the NHL as major) have made the playoffs since then.
