Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips says the "perceived" distractions were not enough to keep the Cowboys from defeating the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants.

"It was a critical win for us," Phillips said.

"I think our team showed they can play well together and do their job," he said. "Last night I told them to go out and play."

Phillips compared his team to a family.

"Brothers get in fights," Phillips said.
