Give Choice a Chance

Cowboy fans aren't glad to hear the news that Marion Barber won't play Sunday in Pittsburgh. In fact, he apparently didn't even make the trip.

So now...Dallas has no choice but to start Tashard Choice.

But it's not all gloom and doom.

Choice has shown a real burst in the limited action we've seen from him. He looked outstanding every time he touched the ball in preseason. He was outstanding in relief of Barber on Thanksgiving.

The one area where Choice may be an upgrade over Barber, is freshness. Whether it's that punishing running style or the number of carries he's had this season, Barber was started to look winded and not quite as effective as the start of the season. Even before the injury, the Marion we've seen in the second half of the season is not the Marion we saw in the first half. Choice brings fresh legs and a burst...two things that could really help the Cowboys on Sunday.

Do not despair. It just may turn out to be the right choice.

Wow. Who was the angry, bitter anchor reporting the news tonight who repeated several times how broken the BCS is? Could that chip on your shoulders BE any bigger? OU belongs in the Big-12 Championship game and no amount of whining by bitter Horn fans will change that. Stay classy, OU. Stay classy.

To SoonerinTX,
Nope, no agenda or bias there.

(btw, I'm a UH Cougar, so I don't really care about the BCS and the teams in the Big 12)

To SoonerinTX ... nope, no agenda or bias there. Look, your team played in the Big 12 Championship, won it, and will play in the National Championship as the favorite. So why do you care what ANY newscaster has to say?

BTW, the BCS is broken ... contenders for the championship should be decided on the field by playoffs, not in popularity contest. Until the NCAA holds a playoff, the National Championship is a fiction.

(BTW, my affiliation is the UH Cougars, so I really don't care about the Big 12 teams)
