Several veteran Dallas Cowboys starters did not participate in practice Wednesday. Tackles Flozell Adams and Marc Colombo, linebackers Greg Ellis and Zach Thomas and receiver Terrell Owens all did not work with the team, although they did attend meetings and film sessions. "I just think it's the time of year that we need to take a look at resting some of these players," coach Wade Phillips said. With the injuries to Marion Barber and DeMarcus Ware, the Cowboys were without seven of their 22 starters for practice. The Cowboys play the 9-3 Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday. 10 CommentsLeave a comment |

Is it really fair to put "Several veteran Cowboys SKIP practice" as the headline on the front page? It almost makes it sound like they did it out of spite and not because the coach gave them the practice off. :)
"Cowboys rest some veteran players" doesn't sound as interesting....
That's fair. I switched it to miss. How's that?
Rest the whole damm team if you like. Steelers are going to stomp the Cowgirls. Super Bowl Team my butt
Does he not remember what happened last year when he gave his players time off to "rest"?!?
Rest? When the cowboys play 80+ games a year and get hit and take as much nightly punishment as a Dallas Stars hockey player, then you might consider giving them a rest. Until then, work their butts off. That's what those exhorbitant salaries pay for. Stop treating them like prima-donnas and more like rough, tough football players, Wade. Trust me, they can take it...oh I forgot, they have broken pinkie fingers and toes. Geesh!
Who cares?
Come on people... Let's look at this for what it is. The Cowboys are going to lose on sunday and they are getting their excuse out to the media early. That is all it is ... PR baby..
I love the conspiracy theories!
GO STEELERS!!!
