Jason Garrett only thought things were bad in the Dallas Cowboys locker room. Now he's being considered for the Detroit Lions head coaching job. Yes those same Lions who just became the first NFL team to go 0-16. The Lions are getting permission to talk to several prominent assistants, including the oft-criticized Cowboys assistant head coach/offensive coordinator. It's important to note that Garrett, 42, is already the highest paid assistant coach in the NFL at around $3 million per season. After the offensive struggles this season for the Cowboys it's a bit surprising to see him on a list like this, but then again it is the Lions. Other reported candidates include defensive coordinators Steve Spagnuolo (Giants), Leslie Frazier (Vikings) and Jim Schwartz (Titans) and Redskins secondary coach Jerry Gray. Earlier in the day, Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips said Garrett would return as offensive coordinator. Of course that was assuming Garrett wouldn't get a top job somewhere else. 4 CommentsLeave a comment |

I understand that some of the players were complaining about Garrett but I think they had better take a good look at themselves because I don't think any of them played to their potential because if they had we wouldn't have lost. It's time they look at themselves and see what each one can do to make themselves a better player and play as a team.
Why ask Wade anything because he doesnt know until he asks Jerry and Romo before he knows. Why even have the press conferences?
Go for it Garrett!
The Cowboys organization has become an embarrassment to Dallas. When will Jerry Jones realize that he's NOT a coach and hire a real coach for the boys?
