The Dallas Cowboys added running back Marcus Thomas to the practice squad Wednesday.

Thomas was a fifth-round draft choice (166th overall) by the San Diego Chargers this year out of UTEP.

He was released by the Chargers at the end of training camp and immediately signed with the Detroit Lions where he played in three games before his release on Oct. 9.

Thomas will wear number 43.

Tuesday, the Cowboys released cornerback Vickiel Vaughn from the practice squad.
