Can Wade Phillips really change?

I woke up this morning and the sun was shining and I was beginning to think it wouldn't be.

The Dallas Cowboys have maybe their worst loss ever in Philadelphia yesterday and I really think it could be and now they start talking about the changes for next year.

This is gonna be fun to watch.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he's not changing coaches.

And the coach -- who for 2 years has been saying there's no reason to change -- says he'll change.

Even if he does, even if he can, who really thinks that's gonna make a difference?

You can't just be what you're not. You just can't.

But apparently the Cowboys and Wade Phillips think they can.

It'll be a fun six months until training camp.

I've been a Cowboy's fan for over 30 years, and a season ticket holder with my parents since the early 90's, and have never been more embarrassed to be a Dallas fan. The changes need to begin at the top and trickle all the way down to the youngsters who run out to snag the tee after kickoffs. The problems with this team are too numerous to list . . . . It goes beyond disappointment to spend 16-plus weeks backing such a gutless bunch of undisciplined individuals with no sense of accountability or esprit de corps amongst themselves.

Get rid of Romo and problem solved. Not a leader.

Your QB doesn't have to be a leader, but it sure helps. Romo's problem is he is too concerned about what others think of him. TO, Jason, Jessica, the media, & the fans. He needs to focus on his job, not his image. Win the big games, and the adoration will follow. The bigger issue is that JJ is so enamored with TO that he doesn't see the forest for the trees. Romo needs someone (a coach) to say, "shut up and play the game the way we planned it. You aren't here for records, you are here to win games." Jason Witten is about the only one that gets it.

I come from a football family but I myself have never had a great love for the sport, but even I can see something is wrong with the Cowboys, that somethings name is Jerry Jones the man has no integrity,or talent for coaching as we all know Wade Phillips and those before him are just high payed front men. All the coaches since Tom Landry have been patsies for J. Jones to blame when something goes wrong. If he would let the coaches coach and quit paying these outrageous salaries for high priced thugs the organization would be fine. Ya know I remember a time when being a part of the Cowboys was prestigious and an honor That organization of long ago never would have let these players get away with the crap these "players" get away with.

Time for a radical change. First, fire Wade Phillips. An experiment that never panned out. Next, hire Bill Cowher and please, Jerry Jones, get out of his way so we can have another Super Bowl champion.

Fire Wade Phillips. Hire Bill Cowher. Period.
