Pro Bowl plan 'beyond ridiculous'

Isn't the entire idea of the Pro Bowl to reward the best players?

How do you do that when the best of the best won't even been able to participate?

It won't happen next season now. The NFL is moving the Pro Bowl to the Sunday BEFORE the Super Bowl and will hold it in Miami, the same place as the Super Bowl.

It's the first time in my lifetime the Pro Bowl won't be played in Hawaii.

Cowboys sign two off practice squad

The Dallas Cowboys signed defensive end Marcus Dixon and guard Ryan Gibbons today.

Both players spent all of the 2008 season on the club's practice squad.

Dixon is an interesting story.

The defensive end came to the Cowboys as an undrafted free-agent from Hampton, where he was a captain and on the Dean's list, on a three-year $1.1 million deal in April.

For some quarterbacks in the NFL, winning a championship is a process...one that can't be rushed. Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, John Elway...it didn't come quickly for any of these guys.

One is a Hall of Famer and the other two soon will be.

There's no question that Tony Romo has the physical talent and ability to be a championship quarterback in the NFL, but does he have the mental makeup for such a task?

WFAA sports team Cowboys predictions gone very wrong

We got it wrong.

All of us.

And not even close.

So I guess for all you who think we're a bunch of Cowboys bashers here, all nine of us WFAA sports and KFWD Sports Talk "experts" picked the Cowboys to go 11-5 or better, win the NFC East, win a playoff game and go to the NFC Championship Game or even win the Super Bowl.

The Cowboys finished 9-7, third in the NFC East and missed the playoffs.
