Amendola....Get in there kid! Could we possibly have a Danny Amendola sighting this Sunday against the 49ers? With the injury to Miles Austin, I think there is a good chance we see the Hard Knocks Star. Last week on Tylock Lasik SportsTalk, Amendola said he has had nothing but support from Cowboys fans and he still feels that he will make a contribution on Sunday at one point. "The Cowboys fans have had nothing good things to say to me. They have told me just to keep working. I really think I can make a contribution on Sunday's at some point," said Amendola. Austin suffered a sprained collateral ligament in his knee and will miss 2 to 4 weeks at the minimal. With the wide receiver position already down in numbers (Stanback's separated shoulder and Sam Hurd's bum ankle), the Cowboys only have three healthy receivers in T.O, Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton. While Jason Witten and Martellus Bennett are great pass catching options at the tight end, the likeliness that the Cowboys only take three receivers into the game is slim. The backup wide receivers are crucial in the special team's aspect of the game. Danny Amendola would not only bring depth at the wide receiver position, but he would also bring the Cowboys another option at kick return and punt return if needed.
