November 21, 2008 ArchivesNFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed today what Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones said would happen a few days ago. He notified the Cowboys that Adam "Pacman" Jones may participate in organized team activities, including practice, beginning on Monday, November 24. Jones will be fully reinstated for the Cowboys' game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, December 7th if he avoids any further incidents and fully complies with each and ... The Dallas Stars announced today that the left wing Brenden Morrow is out indefinitely with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee that will require surgery. He is expected to miss up to six months. The club also recalled right wing Landon Wilson from Grand Rapids (AHL). "We are obviously very disappointed to hear the news about Brenden's knee," said Co-General Manager Les Jackson. "As our captain, he will obviously be mi... The Texas Tech and Oklahoma game Saturday night has made this a weird week for college football fans, especially those who follow the Texas Longhorns. Texas Tech is playing in another one of their "Biggest Games" in program history, and if your a Texas fan, you may have no choice but to cheer for Oklahoma. How crazy is that? A win by Oklahoma would put Texas right back in the hunt for a National Championship. I asked Cowboys Wide Rece... I was a very big supporter of T-O coming to the Cowboys, originally. I thought Owens was the kind of frontline receiver that had been lacking at Valley Ranch since the days of Michael Irvin. I also somewhat felt that T-O had been victimized in Philadelphia, caught up in the hailstorm of fan discontent and petty jealousies with Donovan McNabb. Many of T-O's Eagles teammates came out and said they didn't want Owens to leave...that they loved pla... We've seen this headline before: "Owens Frustrated with offensive, role," but it showed up again today in the local paper. Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens talked to former Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders on the NFL network Thursday night. During that interview he said, "For me to have the numbers that I have and not really being involved, it is discouraging." Owens didn't talk to the media at Valley Ranch on Friday, and ... Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman wouldn't say whether he is in our out for Sunday's game against the 49ers. He didn't practice, and when he was leaving the Cowboys practice facility, he wouldn't confirm or deny that he would be able to play on Sunday. "Terence had a slight (muscle) pull yesterday," said Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. "So, he's working through that and we didn't want him to push off on it." Jones said Newman didn... Dallas Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman missed the team's Friday practice. Newman has missed most of the season with a sports hernia. He came back to play Sunday against Washington and had a strong game controlling Santana Moss while grabbing a key interception. Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips slyly described Newman missing practice as a "secret." Details on his apparent injury as we get them, including his status f... Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says one of the reasons he's bringing Pacman Jones back is because it was the bodyguard he hired who caused the problem that led to the suspension. Of course it was. You can't blame Pacman. He's too good. Controversial Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens has done it again. In an interview with former Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders, now of the NFL Network, Owens says the offense and it's coordinator, Jason Garrett, are not getting him the ball enough. "When I get my hand on the ball things happen. I can't throw it and catch it. I can only do one thing," Owens said "It's not that I can't play, it's the system of which I'm... Nice story in the Morning News about Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo taking a homeless man to the movies. Here's another one: Linebacker DeMarcus Ware was signing autographs the other day, a friend of mine buys a picture and wants it signed to his wife Cheryl. Ware spells it with an S, realizes the mistake, tells my buddy to go get one of those jerseys over there and he'll take care of it. He signs the jersey then says consider i... |
