November 19, 2008 ArchivesThe NFL has decided Pacman Jones deserves yet another chance. And I have no idea why either. He spends part of a month at an alcohol rehab center then they say he doesn't have a problem with alcohol. Jones is coming back, but can't play until the December 7th game in Pittsburgh, so this latest suspension will be 6 games. And I love this, P... It's unfortunate how the media, particularly the New England media, has jumped all over Evan Grant today after learning that he had omitted AL MVP Dustin Pedroia from his ballot. If the MVP had perhaps been from a smaller market or one not filled with baseball-crazy nuts like Boston, I'm guessing Grant would probably have flown under the radar. Alas, that was not to be the case. I have looked at Grant's ballot and the names he ... The NFL is giving Adam "Pacman" Jones Jerry Jones said Adam Jones could return to practice Monday. The The Mansfield Tigers beat Abilene last Friday night, 20-14 in the first round of the playoffs. It was just one of dozens of scores in the paper Saturday morning, but this one was special. First of all, it was a huge upset, with Mansfield beating a previously unbeaten team, one that was ranked 3rd in the state. The win gave the Tigers a 7-4 record. But the win was much bigger than that. It was the first time in Mansfield's long history ... NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday afternoon that he has no time-table for making a decision on the status of suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones. Jones was suspended following an altercation with a team bodyguard at Dallas' Joule hotel last month. Goodell later decided to suspend Jones for at least four games for violating the league's conduct policy. The Cowboys win over the Washington Redskin... For the first time in a month, Felix Jones is at Dallas Cowboys practice. The rookie running back was injured in the team's loss to Arizona Oct. 12. He said last week he hoped to play, but didn't practice and didn't play in win over Washington. Now it looks like there is a much better chance he will return Sunday against the 49ers. ...Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo says he's not sure if he'll be with the Cowboys when the team's new stadium host the Men's Final Four in 2014. "I might be living back in Wisconsin by that time," Romo said. Romo would be entering his 12th season in the NFL in 2014 and would be just shy of his 34th birthday. He said he is afraid the media may run him out town well before then. ...Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens had to go home sick with flu like symptoms. The star receiver was not at the team's Wednesday afternoon practice. We first began to see that something may be up when Owens was strangely absent from his usual media session late Wednesday morning in the team's locker room. Owens has been adamant that during game weeks he will only talk to reporters at 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays. As... Amendola....Get in there kid! Could we possibly have a Danny Amendola sighting this Sunday against the 49ers? With the injury to Miles Austin, I think there is a good chance we see the Hard Knocks Star. Last week on Tylock Lasik SportsTalk, Amendola said he has had nothing but support from Cowboys fans and he still feels that he will make a contribution on Sunday at one point. "The Cowboys fans have had nothing good th... Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban fighting with the SEC about insider trading , is apparently still fighting with former Mavericks coach Don Nelson too. An arbitrator made a final decision in early September that Cuban owed Nelson $7 million dollars. Cuban hasn't paid yet, maybe he's waiting on a stock sale to clear. |
