Jerry Jones positive, ridiculous

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says his team can absolutely make the playoffs. He's an amazingly positive man and I like that about him.

But then as soon as he says that he says something incredibly stupid, like he usually does.

Jones says if Pacman Jones gets re-instated next week -- and he could -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has to decide that, but Jones says if Pacman can get back in the league again, he's welcome back...



Cowboys' receivers, corners get physical

The Dallas Cowboys tried something new at practice Thursday: Getting physical with their wide receivers and cornerbacks.

The team's receivers, especially Terrell Owens, have had a hard time with press coverage in recent weeks. Part of that is due to backup quarterbacks playing, but the Cowboys still struggled with it prior to Tony Romo's injury.

Felix Jones still not practicing

Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Felix Jones was not practicing with the team Thursday. He has been out since the team's loss to Arizona last month.

Jones said Monday he was going to play Sunday. That would seem unlikely now.

Bobby Carpenter and Isaiah are also not practicing.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett is always entertaining, if nothing else.

The rookie from Texas A&M had some fun giving a reporter a hard time because he is a UT fan. The conversation then became a heated discussion of college football between Bennett and reporters in a Cowboys locker room with more than double the number of media folks to players.

How it works for the media at Valley Ranch

Let me give you a little background about the process at Valley Ranch.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, the Cowboys have open media access in the locker room, which is where the players are available for interviews. Each session is scheduled for 45 minutes, usually 11:30-12:15.
