The New York Giants are a nine point favorite to beat the Dallas Cowboys, according to Vegas odds makers. That isn't of interest to Cowboys coach Wade Phillips. "I really don't pay attention to who is the underdog and who isn't," he said. Phillips says part of the reason he doesn't pay much attention to it is because he knows any team can win any game and he wants his team knowing that can do just that. "I just don't like the team feel they're not as good as the other team going in," he said. But he says he's not above using it as motivation for his team. "Anybody can beat anybody," he said, "even the underdog." He says the rivalry between the teams and each team's desire, are also important. "It's how excited they are to play, the rivalry part of it is important," Phillips said. "How much it means to them tells you how well they play in most cases." 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
