| Phillips: Romo not throwing yet, cast could come off »
Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips says tight end Jason Witten will not practice today, in the team walk through, before the Cowboys head to New York to play the Giants Sunday. Witten has a broken rib, but Phillips said he could still play this week and will travel with the team. "He does everything right in practice and that's why he doesn't need to practice as much some times," he said. Phillips says he doesn't have a set rule on players playing in games if the haven't practiced during the week. "I do think, in most cases, players don't play as well if they don't practice," he said. Phillips said he expects LB Anthony Spencer and CB Anthony Henry to practice and play. |
