Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips doesn't have fond memories of the last time his team played the New York Giants. "I tried to forget about it last year," Phillips said. The 21-17 win continued an improbable Super Bowl run for the Giants. Since then, the Giants (6-1) have continued to dominate. The Cowboys played them three times last year, winning both regular season games, but lost in the playoffs. They haven't forgotten and Phillips knows it. "Whatever you think motivates the team to play better... that's part of what you try to do coaching wise," Phillips said. Still this is a new season and the Giants no longer have defensive ends Michael Strahan, who retired, and Osi Umenyiora, who is out for the season with a knee injury. "They'll have some new wrinkles and we'll have some new things," Phillips said. |
