Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips says he thinks injured LB Anthony Spencer can make an impact when he returns, whenever that is.

"You really need three outside backers because of the rush," Phillips said.

Pro Bowlers DeMarcus Ware and Greg Ellis are the starters, but Phillips says both Ellis and Spencer could play at the same time.

"He's just a good player," Phillips said of Spencer, "and you need to get good players on the field."

He is unsure if Spencer will play Monday night against the Eagles.
