I was in Arizona a couple of weeks ago and saw in the Arizona Republic that Mavericks Forward Jason Kidd was going to give away his Olympic Gold Medal. Word, at the time, was that Kidd would give his Gold Medal to Elaine Wynn, the wife of Casino owner Steve Wynn. Kidd called her a friend and a really great person.
Well as good as that sounded for her, it was a little too good to be true. Today, Kidd was a guest on the Musers on the Ticket radio where he said he had been misquoted. He said they have his Gold Medal, but it's on loan, not a gift. He says he hasn't decided when he will ask for them to return it. Maybe we should all get on that list, so we could borrow a little "Gold" for the day. Wouldn't that be nice!
