On the 1-year anniversary of his becoming a Cowboys, Evan Oglesby has been released by the team. He's a cornerback who played in a few games last year, and to my untrained eyes, he appeared to have a very good camp in Oxnard.

This move frees up a roster spot, likey for safety and special teams guy Keith Davis. When word got out a few days ago that the Cowboys were trying to get Davis back, it made me think of how many times during the pre-season Wade Phillips dismissed the problems Dallas had with covering kicks. Actions speak louder than words, because Davis isn't coming here to play safety.
