Cowboys right to get Hamlin deal done

Ken Hamlin will be a Dallas Cowboy for years to come and that is the right move by owner Jerry Jones.

I watched the home run derby with some friends and fellow sports fans last night, and a few things stand out...

After his second home run in the first round, the one that hit the wall behind the right-centerfield seats, the crowd and players went so crazy that the contest was stopped down for a few moments. Again, this was after his second home run.

UNT sets football kickoff times

The college football season kicks off in a month and a half and the University of North Texas has set the times for its games.

The Mean Green begins at a Big 12 school, Kansas State, at 6 p.m. on Aug. 30.

UNT's first home game is against Tulsa on Sept. 6 at 6 p.m.

Then another big road game at SEC power LSU at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13 in Baton Rouge, La.

The Josh Hamilton story just keeps getting better.

A walk-off home run for a Rangers win over the Angels last week, then Monday night he electrified Yankee Stadium with a barrage of long balls in the first round of the All-Star Home Run Derby.
