Luis Yanez Hearing Delayed

3:04 PM Thu, Jul 10, 2008 |
George Riba

Duncanville's Luis Yanez, who was removed from the U.S.Boxing team in late June, still doesn't know whether he will be reinstated.

A hearing was scheduled for today but was delayed until Friday morning. The reason is that the board, which was scheduled to conduct the hearing, didn't receive all the information it needed from Yanez in time to make a decision today.

Yanez was removed from the U.S. Olympic team after he failed t...

Stop me if you have heard this before. Two football players, one current and one former, are in very serious legal trouble today.

Former Arkansas quarterback and current Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Matt Jones was arrested in Fayetteville where police say he was inside a car cutting up cocaine with a credit card. (Read full sto...

Hamilton came through with a 2-run homer to w...

For eight innings the Texas Rangers were just not quite good enough.

They weren't good enough to hang with the A.L. West-leading Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Then Jamey Wright pitched a dominant eighth and ninth and in the bottom of the night Ramon Vazquez got a pinch hit walk and later scored on a Michael Young single, then Josh Hamilton delivered. A gusty 5-4 win. We use gutsy a lot with this team.

It was somewhat...

Gerald Green on the Ticket

I just heard new Maverick Gerald Green on the Ticket with Norm. He's saying all the right things, about being humbled and hungry and ready to "re-launch" his career. Watch my story here

One thing he said on Norm's show that concerned me a bit - Green said he's always been a hard worker, first in the gym and the last to leave. He said he stayed that way despite getti...
