UNT and SMU have agreed to play four games from 2014-2017, the series could extend to 2025.

There is an option for eight additional games that would be played from 2018-2025.
North Texas is also scheduled to play six games with Army from 2009-2010 and 2016-2019.

SMU and UNT have played 33 games, including the last two years.

UNT defeated SMU 24-6 in 2006, while SMU prevailed 45-31 last year. SMU leads the overall series 28-4-1.
