Former TCU Horned Frogs Virgil Hodge and Delwayne Delaney placed first overall in both the 100 and 200 meters for women and men, respectively, at the St. Kitts National Track & Field Championship and Olympic Qualifier this weekend. Hodge will represent St. Kitts in both events in Beijing. She ran the 100 meters in 11.39 seconds to place first overall. In the 200 meters, the six-time All-American crossed the finish line in 22.87 seconds to win that event too. Delaney captured the top-spot in the 200 meters by running it in 21.17 seconds. In the 100 meters, the former TCU All-American blazed to a first-place finish by recording a time of 10.37 seconds. By winning both events Delaney also qualified for the 2008 Olympics. |
