As you might expect, it was a very quite lockerrom after the Stars lost to the Red Wings Monday night. They lost the series 4-games to 2.. A team that had come so far this season ended up two wins short of going to the Stanley Cup Finals. "It was a combination of hoping to win and Detroit pushing the issue and wanting to win," said a disappointed Head Coach Dave Tippett. Tippett described Detroit as a very good hockey team. How good is Detroit? "It's a team that has three of the top ten players in the world," Tippett said. The future looks bright for this team. "The real young players got playoff experience, the young leaders got leadership experience, and it's that new leadership that will push this team ahead," he said. Personally, i've never seen so many busted lips after one period in my life, but that's playoff hockey between two teams that were determined to win. Next year could be a great year. |
