With their win last night, the Rangers are back to even, with a 25-25 record. I don't know if even the die-hardest Ranger fans expect it to last, but for now, it's nice that they aren't already out of the race for a playoff spot, which is what it felt like last year at this time.
Also, how about the year Josh Hamilton is having? Anything I say here will only be repetitive -- the guy's statistics speak for themselves -- except maybe this: his nickname is MAX DAMAGE. I've heard it on the radio a couple of times, during Rangers' post-game shows, and even on ESPN News the other day -- and I love it. In a sports world full of T-Mac's and J-Ho's and A-Rod's, it's refreshing to hear a unique and clever nickname given to a player. MAX DAMAGE ... I prefer it in all caps too.
That's the best nickname I've heard for him by far. I think when referring to Hamilton I'll just go by max damage..... I mean, MAX DAMAGE. It's very appropriate!
