New Coach For The Mavericks Will Be Different, Or Maybe Not!

For the second straight year, the Mavericks left the American Airlines Center having been eliminated from the playoffs in the first round.

While the speculation begins as to who will become the Mavericks next Head Coach, we know one man who we can strike off the list, Mavericks Guard Jerry Stackhouse. Asked whether the next Head Coach of the team is already on the staff, Stackhouse replied.
"I have no idea about that. It would be total speculation," he muttered. "I have no interest of taking over right now, so I don't know."

My other favorite line was Forward Dirk Nowitzki when he was talking about the next coach and what he things his qualities should be. "Obviously, we've got to bring a coach in that brings the best out of what he's got here," Nowitzki said. "He needs to open the offense, have a lot more running, but still a guy who knows how to coach defense. You don't want to go back to the Nellie days where we just run and gun and have fun."

Now that would be strange, wouldn't it? I guess all that discipline from the Little General was getting old.
