That noise you heard early this morning coming from Tarrant County wasn't the cars on the track at the Texas Motor Speedway, but former Cowboys Wide Receiver Michael Irvin screaming for his life! Irvin got in a car with Nationwide Series driver Brad Keselowski for a few laps in his Number 88 car, a perfect number for him as you might expect. For a while, it sounded like Irvin was ready to back out. "The closer and closer I got to this place," Irwin said, "The more and more I thought, why am I doing this?" Keselowski is 24 years of age, and looks like he's about 18 and that, as you might expect, worried Irvin as well. "Are you old enough to drive this car?" he asked. Irvin was physically shaking when the car rolled back into the pit area, but he didn't lose his sense of humor. "If an officer stops me now, I'll tell you man, I'm not speeding. You run out to that track and get them. Leave me alone," he said. Apparently it wasn't his cup of tea. "Yeah, I was afraid," Irivin said. Asked if he wanted to go back out, his reply was simple, "No, I couldn't do it again." 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
