As an avid golfer, Tiger Woods has provided me so much excitement that I've come to expect greatness. But on the 72nd hole of the Arnold Palmer Invitational I actually let out a yell. I hadn't done that in quite some time with Woods because when you expect the greatness, it doesn't come as a surprise. It was a 24 foot putt. Before it, Woods was 0-for-21 on putts longer than 20 feet at the tournament. I knew he'd give it a good run, but it looked as though it was going to be short then going to slide past right... but no sir, this is Tiger we're talking about. It curled in the cup, I let out a yell, and Woods claimed his fifth straight win on the PGA Tour. The tournament's namesake had the best line of all, as Arnold Palmer embraced Tiger, he said "What else is new?" You got that right, Arnie. I'll know next time, and we'll see if I let out a yell. By the way, did any of you out there let out a yell??? |
