IT WAS THE CLIPPERS PEOPLE!!!

L.A. had about as much intensity as a bassett hound on valium. I'm sorry Mav nation, but that Clipper win meant about as much to me as the 5-game win streak that preceded the tri-fecta of terror. That might be over-stating that 3-game downer to the Lakers, Celtics, and Spurs, but you get the picture.

Now, its time to prove you can win without Dirk. Its a 3-game west coast swing, starting with Denver and Golden State, the teams fighting with the Mavs for the 7th and 8th seeds in the Western Conference playoffs. By the way, the Nuggets are 28-7 at home and haven't lost there in more than a month.

Both the Nugs and Warriors like to get it up and down, and here's something you may not have thought about. While the Mavericks certainly aren't better off with Dirk watching from the bench, they should be more athletic. We'll see how that plays in what figures to be a pair of track meets.
