Crafting with Miss Nancy!

Every month she'll pick a craft that she does with her young patient friends and share it with Tiki readers so we can get crafty at home. Here she is with Charles Williams, 7 as they work on this month's fun Easter craft - Flower Egg Center. FLOWER EGG CENTER

Supplies:

o Styrofoam® white sheet*

½" x 12" x 36"

o Styrofoam® bricks*

o Flower cookie cutters

o 12 large bamboo skewers or ¼" wooden dowels (10" - 12")

o Assorted plastic egg halves

o Basket

o Glue

o Acrylic paints

o Dimensional paint

o Paintbrush

o Sponge

o Crinkled paper (or grass from Easter Basket)

What to do

Press cookie cutters into Styrofoam® white sheet. Make six 5" flowers and six 4" flowers. Gently rub flower edges smooth.
Paint one of each size flower and let dry.
Paint wooden dowels green (Tip - place skewers into Styrofoam® brick while painting.) Let dry.
Sponge paint basket. Let dry.
Outline flowers with dimensional paint. Let dry.
Glue bricks to bottom of basket.
Gently press one egg half into center of each flower.
Insert skewers into flowers. Glue if necessary.
Arrange flowers into basket.
Fill basket with crinkled paper or grass for and Easter Basket.
Place small wrapped candy in grass for decoration.
