Today is my mother's birthday! Where do I start when telling you about my mother? She taught us the meaning of hard work which there was always plenty to do with 9 kids to raise! During the years she worked in and outside of the home and still managed to cook three meals a day. We didn't know what takeout was. She cooked everything from scratch and always made a hot breakfast for us every morning. As a teenager, sometimes I didn't feel like eating in the morning which didn't make her happy at all. Now I long for those days of home made breakfasts! She is extremely funny and that seems to be a prevalent gene that carried over into her kids and grandkids. And even though we didn't have a lot of money growing up, my mother gave us the richest gift of all, our faith. That's the biggest and best treasure she could've ever given us. So here's to my mom on her birthday!! Happy birthday Mother!!
