Cooking with Miss Sadie!

misssadie.jpgOkay Miss Sadie really does have hope that she can teach me how to cook. She is ever the optimist! Miss Sadie and Mr. Bill Bomar (pictured here with my kids and their friend) are Justin Timberlake's grandparents but I call them my dear friends. Miss Sadie cooks all sorts of yummy dishes and sweets for her family for holidays or any occasion. She even gave several recipes to Justin that are used in his NY restaurant that just opened a few months ago. In her attempts to teach me how to cook I'm going to share some of the recipes that she gives me (of course all of them are stored in her head so it's a lot of a "pinch of that" type of improvising on my part since she's got it down to a science and I'm a cooking dork trying my best). Anyway, I'm going to share some of her recipes during the year and my attempts on trying to cook them. This week's dish is mouth watering tasty pot roast. Wish me luck! Click on the link to get the recipe and try it on your own.

Oops! I think when I was trying to write out the recipe as Miss Sadie explained it to me that I forgot to add carrots to it. Feel free to put a big cup of chunked carrots in the recipe too during the step where you add the onions and celery. Like I said, my recipe isn't fancy directions from like the Martha Stewart Show. Just Miss Sadie explaining it to me and I'm trying to translate it as we talk.
