Amber Wade read my story about 8-year-old Roger Zapata's battle with leukemia and wanted to help. She contacted friends and family and collected over $1,000 in cash, gift cards, toys, and other items for the family. What incredible acts of kindness! When she approached some folks about giving, many would ask her if she knew the family. "I told them, 'No. I don't need to know someone to want to help them.' " She felt good about her experience collecting help for the Zapata's noting how "people have a strong need to help others." All it takes at times is inspiration from an angel!
