Carol, a hospice volunteer for over a decade came home one day a few years ago frustrated in wanting to find a way to help her patients in their last moments of life feel a sense of peace. Due to pain or illness, it was difficult for them to hold objects that were small like beads any more. Jack came up with the idea of a holding cross - made bigger and easier to hold than most. The design makes it easier to grip, smooth to the touch with its polished finish, and depending on the wood, some will change color over time from being held. The couple have now sold over 100,000 crosses to everyone from hospice patients, customers wanting a special gift for a friend, to even family members wanting to send them to their loved ones serving in the military around the world. Checkout their website at www.holdingcross.com to read more about their story, those from customers, and the amazing types of wood used to make the crosses which have stories of their own. They make a great gift for the holidays or for any time. I guarantee it! |
