After Friday night's 4-1 loss to the Brewers extended the Astros
losing streak to 7 straight , general manager Tim Purpura and
skipper Phil Garner decided to shake things up a bit .

As more than 44 thousand fans huddled together to keep
from freezing to death, Astros slugger Carlos Lee stayed warm.
In fact , he couldn't get any hotter banging out 3 home runs
leading the Astros to a 9-to-6 come from behind victory at Philadelphia.

It was the first time in his career that Lee cranked out 3 long balls
in in a game, and it happen while he was wearing an Astros uniform.
This is the kind of production team owner Drayton McClane was dreaming
about when he ponied up more than a 100 million dollars bringing
Lee to Houston.

Do you remember what the last day of school felt like when
you were a kid? The Astros do. They feel the same freedom
when the last meaningless spring game is done.

On Friday the team was at Minute Maid Park setting up
their lockers for the real season.
It was a lockerroom filled with so much promise , and a lot
of laughter provided by Carlos Lee ? That's right , the Astros newest
slugger appears to fitting in really well with his new teammates .
