The head coach of the U.S. team is Kevin Mazeika. Mazeika .. a Houston native .... uses all kinds of tools in working with his elite athletes ... but possibly none is more important than Robert Andrews. Andrews is a sports psychologist from Houston .... and the day before Andrews departed for China, Mazeika called Andrews for some help. Andrews works with several of Mazeika's guys ... but this time he wasn't asking about the mental approach to the competition or anything like that. No this time ... Mazeika was calling to ask Andrews to please bring a nerf hoop and basketball to China ...... because Mazieka's guys are getting bored staying in their assigned housing.

Something else the gymnasts need ....is chairs. There aren't enough to go around. So they're also asking their friends and family to send over some inflatable chairs.

I bet the U.S. men's basketball team isn't having these kinds of problems.
