After playing at Minnesota adjusting to the Houston heat and humidity has been a challenge for Texans Safety Dominique Barber. I talked to him after practice on Thursday and he was grateful for a breeze that made the workout a little more bearable. But the weather isn't the only thing he's adjusting to.

Barber is a huge hockey fan. Unfortunately, Houston isn't exactly hockey central. "The Red Wings are my favorite team and they won last night so I'm pumped," Barber told me. But this guy is not just a spectator. He lettered two years in hockey in high school. Barber went on to say, "That was a long time ago, I haven't really laced up the skates since high school, but hopefully we'll be able to combine skating with some type of community outreach program. Just in case you didn't know, Barber brother is Cowboys running back Marion Barber. The brothers are very close and Dominique plans to fly in and spend next weekend hanging out with Marion.
