Dynamo Trying To Move Into First Place In West

As rain falls in Washington D.C. late this afternoon ...the Dynamo are set to take on D.C. United at Robert F. Kennedy Memmorial Stadium. The Dynamo will once again be without captain Wade Barrett ...and defender Eddie Robinson ...who's suspended for another game for his retaliation in the Dallas game last week. The Dynamo team has never beaten D.C. United here ... .but the last game they played here was memorable ... they beat New England for the MLS Cup 6 months ago.

Dwayne De Rosario will start up front tonight .....as coach Dominic Kinnear continues to shake things up in an effort to get more scoring from his guys. Kinnear calls it "adjusting on the fly" to his in-game adjustments ....but he's very good at doing just that. The Dynamo is only one point out of first place ....a win tonight puts Houston atop the Western Conference standings. Kinnear's biggest concern is DC's forward Luciano Emilio. He was the league's top scorer last year with 20 goals ...and he's scored in the last two games ....after struggling early this season.

It's thundering and lightening is appearing close by ...... but the game is still set to go ....6:30pm Houston time.
