The Rockets found themselves on the wrong side on many calls during the Utah series ...but the bad calls this post-season have not been limited to the local squad. They've been happening every night in every game. Last night in Detroit was a prime example. For some unexplained reason ...none of the 3 officials ...on the court noticed that the game clock was stuck. As a result ....Detroit was able to score a last second 3-point basket giving the Pistons a two point lead heading into the 4th quarter. Orlando should have been leading by 2. The NBA rules don't allow officials to review the play on video. College officials ....do so on a regular basis ..... but the NBA's rules don't allow it. Orlando got jobbed!! It was just the latest of miscues that officials in the league have made this post-season. The home clock operator didn't start the clock properly ...so if anything ...penalize the home team. Or get back on the court .... and re-play the play all over again. If you penalize the home team in cases like that ...it will stop more clock "malfunctions."
