Dynamic Victory In Windy City!!

The Dynamo beat the Fire in Chicago Saturday night in impressive fashion. Playing in cool, rainy and windy conditions ..... the Dynamo took the early lead on the Fire ....but faced with dropping temperatures ...and an iconic star for Chicago controlling the referees attention by his sometimes outlandish actions ...... the Dynamo turned in their best performance of the season.

Once Chicago superstar Cuauhtemoc Blanco .... a living legend from Mexico who joined Chicago last season .....assisted on a free kick goal by Chicago .....the Dynamom could have just packed it in around goalkeeper Pat Onstead and played for the tie ....but that's not coach Dominic Kinnear' style. The Dynamo stayed on the attack ...and finally in the 83rd minute Bobby Boswell scored the go-ahead goal on a header ....on the pass from Richard Mulrooney. The Dynamo held on to win 2 to 1 ...and just like that ....they're in 2nd place in the balance Western Conference of MLS.

Most observers still believe the Dynamo need help up front ....and I do expect them to get some help for Brian Ching up front. Forward Franco Caraccio is the 21 year old the Dynamo got from Argentina during the off-season ...and even though he definately has talent ..... it just hasn't been meshing that well with what Ching is also doing on the field.

The most important thing now though is that the Dynamo has won 2 straight .... they still have two straight games on the road before returning to Robertson Stadium ... and Kinnear got great effort from all of his guys Saturday night in adverse circumstances. I thought Brian Mullan played really well ....along with the aforementioned Mulrooney. Stuart Holden's energy was great....Ricardo Clark played very well credited with a goal ...even though it may have been deflected off Dwayne DeRosario's head. And I thought Defender Eddie Robinson had a very good game....trying to "reign in" Blanco and the rest. The Dynamo next play at San Jose Saturday night ...and the upstart team is considered one of the worst in the league.
