We're out here doing a story on 15 year old Ryan Harrison. Harrison ..who's a ntive of Shreveport, Lousiana ...but currently lives in New Braunfels ...... is attempting to become only the 10th player in ATP Tour history to win a Tour match before his 16th birthday.

He'll be playing Pablo Cuevas of Uraguay in his opening match. Cuevas is a talented 22 year old.with experience playing on clay .... so it won't be easy. Either way .....I'll interview oung Harrison afterwards ....and we'll have his story tonight at 10pm ...on 11 News.

By the way .... with the beautiful weather that has taken over our city this week .......I highly recommend that you check out this event ..... even if you're not a big tennis fan. I thought the McInvale's did a great job running this event at Westside Tennis Center. Their stadium is really nice ..... but coming back to River Oaks .... since it's long absence has a very nice feel to it. Sitting in one of the wooden chairs in the "old school" wooden stadium ..... is a unique experience. During the match break ..... Neil Diamond is playing from the stadium's speaker system ...and the PA announcer is hitting left over tennis balls from the preivfous match ... into the stands ...much to the delight of the fans on hand. This is a beutiful setting!!!
