I've interviewed Tracy McGrady of the Rockets a lot , and as far as superstars go he's as good as it gets. You ask him a question and he'll answer it. He's really a sensitive guy , who from time to time will answer from his heart so sometimes he's misunderstood.
Texans quarterback Matt Schaub's style is straight from the Gary Kubiak school of doing interviews. Give the media a little, and if possible give them less. You can't blame them because that approach does away with distractions and leaves nothing to come back to bite you.

That brings us to Astros star Lance Berkman. I had a little visit with Lance on Friday. It was just a quick one on one session, but everytime I talk to Lance its enjoyable because its a real conversation. Like every other big time athlete in this city Berkman knows its always a risk getting too relaxed around the media. But the thing about Lance is, I've never seen an athlete more comfortable in his own skin than Berkman is. Ask him anything , and he'll give you an honest answer. Usually,its also a very intelligent one. I've heard people say that with Biggio and Bagwell gone the Astros don't have any leaders in the clubhouse, well I'm not buying it. They have some leaders and Berkman is one. Lance leads with his words and his deeds and that's the best kind of leader.
But maybe his best quality is he's also honest. So if you want real straight talk , forget about John McCain Lance Berkman is your man.
