By losing Masters...Tiger shows how great he is!

Last week I was walking around the news room and quite a few of my colleagues were talking about the Masters. "Was this the start of Tiger Woods quest for a Grand Slam?" they were asking. (that's winning all four major tournaments in the same year) Many thought Tiger was just the player to do it and they wanted to know where I stood on the subject. The mere thought of that question shows that Tiger is one of the two greatest golfers to ever play. They used to say the same thing about Jack Nicklaus during his prime.

So we sat and watched Tiger for four straight days play medicore golf on the most beautiful and well manicured course in the world. Where were all the great shots? Where were all the roars from the enourmous crowds? We waited for the drama on Sunday afternoon as he was supposed to make a charge on the winner Trevor Immelman. It just didn't happen and that was such a downer. So he didn't win, if fact, he was so disappointing, he took second three shots behind the South African.

Are you getting the picture? It was such a bad week for Woods, all he did was shoot five under for the tournament. He has created his own legacy and anything less that winning the top prize is just not the way it's supposed to go according to most golf fans. We would all cherish being that good. Can you imagine being five under par finishing second at Augusta? It's just down right tragic.

Tiger, in defeat, shows no one compares to how incredible he is smacking a little white ball around!
