I think now ....Memphis is the team to be in San Antonio.

They have it all ...inside game ....outside game ....defense ...and today they even displayed standout free throw shooting .......I think they'll hammer UCLA pretty good ....and then win the Final next Monday night.

Again ...I was impressed with the way the Texas fans showed up for the game ....but disappointed in their lack of enthusiasm for their team.

As for the overall rating of the event put on here in Houston ...I give the organizers a letter grade of A.

These things are not easy to put on. The last one in Houston was 1986.

And as one local official told me ...."shoot this is even better for UH and Rice ...because with Memphis ...a CUSA school making the Final-four ....it means more money for the Cougars and the Owls.

Final score ... Memphis 85 ... Texas 67.
