Right now .....the 'Horns are getting strong play inside ....from big man Dexter Pittman ....and also off the bench Clint Chapman the 6-10 kid from Canby , Oregon ....has been affective at times. The biggest difference so far as been Memphis' overall quickness added to their height advantage at most positions. Texas is quick ...don't get me wrong ....but thus far Memphis is a little quicker ...and taller.

Texas can still win this game ......but their defensive intensity has to stay up the entire time .....they have to get the crowd into it ......and they basically will have to play their best game of the year .....if they want to have a chance. If they can start forcing Memphis into a halfcourt game ....and into some bad shots ......it will frustrate them ....and give the 'Horns a chance. On the other hand ....if Memphis can continue to run the court .......get cheap baskets ....and force Texas into bad shots around the rim .....Memphis could win be 15 to 20.

One interesting thing developing .....DJ Augustin loves to drive the ball inside and attack the rim .....well, with Memphis' great size and leaping ability inside ....he can't get there most times ....so Rick Barnes has been urging him to pull up and shoot the jumpshot. We'll see how that continues to develop in the 2nd half.

Also ....the Texas fans outnumber the Memphis fans by a large margin ....they need to get fired up and get loud .......to help their team out ....otherwise there will be no trip to San Antonio next weekend.
