Congratulations coach Roubique and the Lady Bobcats

I'd like to say I'm suprised at how easily Cy Fair captured the girls 5-A State Title,
but I'm not . They completely dominated DeSoto from the opening tip to final buzzer .
The 50-to 33 final score was actually closer than the game ever was. These young ladies were on a mission after losing in the championship game last season, and so was their coach.

Coach Ann Roubique and I went to McNeese State at the same time. I won't say how long ago it was because I would look pretty silly doing the sports at KHOU without any teeth. But what I can say is she was a fantastic athletic . Ann was the point guard for the Cowgirls basketball team, and played catcher on the softball team.
In basketball, she was really a coach on the floor. But she was also a tough competitor and you could see that same desire in her girls .

It helps a lot when you have a Nneka Ogwumike, who stands 6'2 and can do anything she wants on the basketball court. Lets not forget her younger sister Chiney who's a 6'3 sophomore, and the other talented Lady Bobcats.
But you need talent, and the right coach to get the most out of that talent.
Ann Roubique was the right coach for the Lady Bobcats. Cy Fair was as prepared as any team could be to destroy DeSoto.
Coach Roubique left no stone unturned when it came to planning. When the Lady Bobcats shot out to an 8-0 lead the handwriting was pretty much on the wall for DeSoto.
Cy Fair took advantage of their second chance to win a title and you won't find a coach or a team that's more deserving.
