T.P. is Terry Puhl .... the head baseball coach at UH-Victoria. Puhl is coaching this first year startup program ..and things have gone well. The Jaguars were 12 and 2 heading into action on Wednesday. Puhl is away for a couple of weeks coaching the Canadian National team ... as it tries to qualify for the upcoming Summer Olympics ....so he asked his friend, Phil Garner, if he could ride herd on the Jaguars for awhile ...and Garner jumped at the opportunity. Of course ... when he agreed to do it .... Garner had no idea what pressure he would be under. "I was hoping to come down .... and take over a team that was 0 & 6 ...and I could help lead a turnaround .... but wow ... these guys are playing well ... so now I just don't want to mess things up," said Garner.

Also Garner says ..... don't look at this as a sign that he wants to get back into baseball fulltime. He says,"The only reason Carol(his wife) said I could do this is because this job will only last two weeks."
