Miguel Tejada joined the fold today, and yes , he was expensive. The Astros gave up
outfielder Luke Scott, pitchers Matt Albers ,Troy Patton, and Dennis Sarfate, along
with third baseman Mike Cosstanzo. With the addition of Tejada, the Astros batting
order looks like this, Bourne leading off , followed by Matsui, Tejada, Berkman,
Lee, Pence, Wiggington and J.R. Towles.
This was more than just a touchup for the batting order, this was a full blown facelift.
Opposing pitchers might really have to come with a strategy when facing
the Astros . Clearly there is more than enough offense ,and not enough pitching at
this time but at least they are making moves .

I like the fact that Ed Wade has blown this thing up , and started over
with the Bourne's , the Matsui's , and the Tejada's. More than any other team
the Astros just needed a change . They needed an infusion of new blood
and that what they are getting so far from Wade. Bagwell and Biggio were great
for this team and this city , but all things come to an end .The Astros put the
the future on how for long enough. So I say blow it up Ed , and give Cecil a
real change to make a fresh start.
