Coker's critics say he got into trouble and got himself fired at Miami .....'cause he let the inmates run the asylum. But basically he was fired because he didn't win enough his last couple of years there. Still his winning percentage at Miami and the success he had their totally blows away anything UH coaches have done since Bill Yeoman was run off. Dave Maggard is a former University of Miami guy ...and Coker knows how to recruit to a big school in a big city..... I think this one could totally work out.

As for Joe DeForest? He's a longtime assistant coach at Oklahoma State. He has recruited the Houston area for many years ...dating back to his days as an assistant coach at Rice. He knows Houston and he knows what it would take. He's an unknown to many ....but so was Art Briles 5 years ago.

I think either Coker or DeForest could work out great.......we'll wait and see.
